Arleen Crain Carlton, 62, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017 at Journey Church, 9711 FM2186, Amarillo, Texas 79119, with Dr. Charles Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.

Arleen was born on November 21, 1954 in Canyon to Silas B. and Cora Bell Crain. Arleen was a member of Journey Church and sang with Sweet Adelines in Amarillo and Oklahoma for many years. She was the “spark” of any group she was with and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elise Keely Carlton; her parents; two brothers, Jess Alton Crain and Lee Davis Crain.

Arleen is survived by her husband, Rusty Carlton of Amarillo; one son, Craig Ryan Carlton of Amarillo; two sisters, Kathleen Frederick and husband Buster of Ft. Worth, and Darleen Cheverier and husband Mike of Amarillo; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
