Kenneth Francis Giles, of Lubbock, Texas, passed from his earthly life into the arms of Jesus Wednesday, March 11th, 2026. A service to celebrate his life of 70 years will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at Journey Church in Amarillo, Texas.
Ken was born August 25th, 1955, in Price, Utah. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1973, after which he served in the United States Navy. He had one daughter, Tabatha Elaine Giles, who was the light of his life. Ken worked for the City of Amarillo, where he retired as a Water Treatment Plant Operator. He loved the New York Yankees and fostered a multi-generational family of Yankee fans. The joy of Ken’s life was his five grandkids. He treasured being their Pappy and was so very proud of them. Ken is survived by his daughter and son, Tabatha and David Wilson; grandson, Nathan Ashley; granddaughters, Maddy Wilson, Ella Jo Ashley, Halle Belle Ashley, and Kincey Faith Wilson; and sister, Shirley Orr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Ione and Alfred Henry Giles; brothers, Ray Giles and Clarence Giles; and grandson, Lincoln Ryan Wilson.
