Rex Alan Kinnikin, the adopted son of Dude & Doris Kinnikin. Rex was about 12 months old when they went to McComb,Illinois and picked him up. Rex bio-parents were related to Dude Kinnikin. Adoption Birth Record Case #164582, on Oct 26, 1960, Attorney N.L. McGehee Attorney at Law in Selvis, Ill. Birth Parents Sam & Doris Vance. Adoption was final Aug 2, 1961. Rex was adored and blessed the lives of each family member in Doris & Dude's family.

Rex moved to Amarillo in 1956. He attended Amarillo public Schools and was a graduate of Amarillo High School, class of 1973. He moved to Shamrock in 1983. He worked for ASARCO until five years ago when he became ill. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father, Dude, in 1979, a brother and a sister of his bio Vance Family.

Survivors include his mother Doris Kinnikin of Shamrock, several aunts and uncles.

Services for Rex was in the First Baptist Church in Samnorwood, Collingsworth Co., TX on Friday, November 8, 1985 at 10:00a.m. Clergyman Rev. Terry Raines, Intermnnt Dozier Cemetery Dozier, TX by Lamb Funeral Home.

Rex married for a brief time to a Julie D Sigler in Amarillo, TX. They divorced about 1982 and there were no children to the union.
